I will never forget the time I spent in Bologna with the ladies from the Namaskar Yoga Retreat. On my first day there I was lost for a solid three hours walking around in sandals and a 30lb backpack… I was exhausted when I finally found the Yoga Studio but by the end of the day I could tell you three different ways to get there from my Air BnB.
Every morning started with a cappuccino from the cafe a couple of shops down from our Air BnB Then I would walk through the Plazza Maggiore, passing the San Petronio Basilica, the Palazzo Re Enzo, a cute little gelato shop that also had amazing pasta, is there even a place in Italy doesn’t have amazing pasta?!?
Walks to and from the Kutir Yoga studio became my favorite things during our time in Bologna. I loved seeing all the streets and alleyways in the morning before everyone had really woken up. Then walking back through later in the day when everything came to life. I 100% became addicted to Italian cappuccinos and have never eaten so much pasta and pizza.
