I was introduced to AquaGear in 2016 by my mom who was finding a way to take the fluoride out of our water. One of the things that I love about my mom is the amount of research she does when it comes to our health. She seems to be ahead on so many health-related things and sparked my interested in it back in college. Anyways, my mom didn’t want to have a Berkley in the house because they’re a little large and expensive so she found AquaGear which is much smaller and more affordable while still being an amazing water filter pitcher. Mom loved her AquaGear so much that they were everyone’s Christmas present.
Did you know that 96% of our conventional water filters don’t remove heavy metals, fluoride, and dozens of other contaminants from our water? I 100% did not know this, but thankfully my AquaGear takes care of that for me by removing 2,000% more contaminants than the leading brand name water filter. This is why my family and friends can notice and taste a difference in the water filtered through the AquaGear compared to the water filtered through our old Britas or through the fridge. Even though the AquaGear filter is taking out so many contaminants it leaves the good minerals like calcium and magnesium in the water. If you’re still unsure of just how great of a filter this is, check out the Test Certificates section on their website.
Let’s just say the two former aerospace engineers that set out to design the best filter pitch did a pretty great job. They have filled their blog with lots of informational articles that talk about which minerals are not always filtered out of all water filters and what makes them bad, as well as talking about different research they have done. These guys also made it easy for you to give back by partnering with Thirst Relief International to give clean water to Cameroon, Tanzania, and Uganda for 6 months for every filter sold. Even better, when you mail back your used filter to AquaGear for them to properly recycle it – with the postage they provide – they double their donations to Thirst Relief! I could honestly go on and on about how much I love this filter and plan on doing my own Gatorade filter test with mine like they did on their website.
